Closing date and time 2024/03/21 15:00 EDT
Description
The Centre for Marine Applied Research’s (‘CMAR’), a division of Perennia Food and Agriculture Corporation, is facilitating the development of an online GIS-mapping tool (similar to Palau Aquaculture Suitability or CMAR’s Resource Map for Marine Users) and an interactive ArcGIS StoryMap to assist decision makers in identifying suitable areas for marine coastal industry development.
CMAR requires expertise to evaluate visual design elements and language to ensure, at minimum, compliance with accessibility standards (i.e., Province of Nova Scotia). The successful contractor will also provide recommendations for improving text (i.e., plain language) and visual accessibility of multimedia elements. The products must also be assessed for responsiveness across different devices/screens, review of all elements for accessibility, and overall useability.
CMAR also requires end-user testing of the online GIS-mapping tool and interactive StoryMap to ensure that the developed tools are easy to use, meets the target audience’s needs, and improves user experiences to enhance developed tools.
