    Description
    The scope of work includes routine Maintenance and Emergency Repairs to all Variable Message Signs as listed, and deployment of Portable Message Signs in the geographical area shown.

    Under the terms of the Contract, the successful Contractor shall be responsible for the proper operation of Variable Message Signs which are critical to the safety of motorists, workers and pedestrians. Therefore the signs are required to operate properly at all times. The Work under this Contract shall include all labour, equipment and material to complete the annual Routine Maintenance of Variable Message Signs and labour, equipment and some material(s) to complete Non Routine Maintenance of Variable Message Signs together with such other works specified, or embraced, or included in the said Contract Documents.

    The Work shall also include the traffic control requirements to support the operations as per Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) Book 7. Where Book 7 refers to “MTO Operations” the contractor shall conform to these specifications.

    Replacement of pole mounted sign head and associated equipment, internal wiring, sign controller and cabinet is required.

    The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s).
