Indigenous Learning and Development Services

Development and delivery of an interactive and facilitated online Indigenous Focused Learning training program. The program will contain 8 modules, to be completed at the user’s own pace over a 10-week period and will include facilitated pre-safety training and post-continued learning planning sessions and resources.

The program will aim to enhance the user’s knowledge and awareness of key issues that Indigenous people face in Ontario and their impacts, enhance the user’s understanding of anti-racism, inclusion and equity concepts, and to enhance the user’s skills to work more effectively with Indigenous people and to understand the rights of Indigenous people in Ontario.

Content for the program will be Ontario-specific and non-partisan. It will also offer two streams for Indigenous and non-Indigenous users, specific features to allow bilingual users to view course material in French or English, and the option for users to complete a full training course or a refresher training course based on their completion of the previous mandatory training program.
