    Description

This Request for Proposals is an invitation by Queen’s University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Construction Management Services for Agnes Etherington Art Centre.

Construction is scheduled to begin on May 13, 2024 and be substantially complete by March 1, 2026. The current Agnes facility is comprised of three buildings: a heritage house, a building from the 1970s, and an addition from the early 2000’s. Creation of the new Agnes Reimagined facility will involve the demolition of the 1970s building and construction of a new three-storey building that will connect to the lightly renovated 2000’s building and Heritage house for a total of about 85,000 square feet gross.  55,000 square feet of new construction will house new gallery space, a large freight elevator, back-of-house workshop and storage space, a spacious lobby, indigenous ceremonial and self-determination spaces, offices for the gallery staff, and new Art Conservation research spaces and laboratories.

Interested proponents are strongly encouraged to review the Request for Proposals document in its entirety to understand the project details and the evaluation process.
