BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Region’s Water and Wastewater Branch is procuring supplies and equipment to complete the adenosine triphosphate analyses (ATP) to measure biological concentration in drinking water samples. ATP analysis for drinking water is completed across the Region and includes analysis of raw surface water sources, treated surface water, groundwater and distribution system samples as part of a comprehensive enhanced water quality monitoring program. ATP analysis is used to monitor biological activity throughout drinking water treatment processes and drinking water distribution systems to monitor process effectiveness and changes in water quality throughout these systems.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:
- PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: Bidders shall meet the following qualifications regarding the ATP methodology and bench scale luminometer equipment.
(a) Luminometric method used for ATP analysis must be in compliance with ASTM D4012. (Standard Test Method for Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Content of Microorganisms in Water)
(b) Luminometric method used for ATP analysis must be suitable for bulk municipal drinking water samples
(c) Luminometric method for ATP analysis must be adaptable to the potential for turbidity and/or biofilm in the sample matrix
(d) Bench scale Luminometer must have a minimum range of 0 to 500,000 Relative Light Unit (“RLU”) with acceptable linear response
(e) Bench scale luminometer must have the ability to be powered from a standard 120V outlet.
