HMMS on behalf of the Office of Inclusion and Social Accountability is looking to establish a long-term partnership with a preferred Proponent for Equity and Inclusion Assessment Consulting Services.
The successful Proponent will provide Equity and Inclusion Assessment Consulting Services. The scope of the Assessment involves:
1. Ascertain and understand the diversity of the organization;
2. Review existing policies and procedures to assess organizational practices in promoting an equity-oriented and inclusive environment;
3. Assess a representative sample of LHSC employees and physicians, and oversample members of diverse groups in all levels, to determine experiences related to equity and inclusion. Use qualitative and quantitative data collection, with emphasis on qualitative collection for diverse populations.
a. Diverse groups include, but are not limited to, the following: Indigenous, Black, other racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, Muslim, other religions, newcomers, internationally-educated nurses (IENs), persons with disabilities
4. The Proponent shall provide recommendations for short, intermediate, and long-term interventions to establish and/or strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion in areas including, but not limited to, organizational:
• Policies and practices
• Capacity building and culture
• Systems and/or structures
• Leadership
• Workforce
Key Considerations:
• To what extent does LHSC engage in equity-oriented, trauma and violence-informed, inclusive, safe and supportive workplace processes and practices?
• To what extent does LHSC proactively and intentionally encourage and leverage the opportunities and value that diversity is proven to enable?
• To what extent do all employees and providers, including leaders, intentionally and successfully foster an equity-oriented, trauma and violence-informed, inclusive, safe and supportive culture?
