The Agency requires a Vendor to supply, deliver, install, configure, and support a secure Smart Locker solution to enable the dispensing and management of both controlled substances and non‑controlled inventory items for Paramedic Services.
Paramedic Services operate on a 24/7/365 shift‑based model, with frontline paramedics reporting to designated operational reporting stations at the beginning and end of each shift. During these reporting periods, paramedics are required to collect and return items necessary to safely perform their duties, including regulated controlled substances and other operational inventory.
The Smart Locker solution shall support:
- Frontline paramedic operations, by providing reliable, timely, and secure access to required inventory at shift change; and
- Centralized logistics workflows, by enabling consistent controls, visibility, and oversight across one or more locations.
The Smart Locker solution must support regulated controlled substance handling in accordance with applicable legislation, while also enabling scalable expansion to support additional inventory types, locations, and operational needs over time.
This procurement is issued in accordance with the terms of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), and other applicable trade agreements.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 60 month(s).
