    Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) employs approximately 4400 persons in locations all across Canada working in the areas of natural resources, forestry, energy, minerals, metals and earth sciences. The workforce is comprised of research scientists, laboratory technicians, engineers, forestry workers, systems specialists, policy analysts, support staff, and financial officers. NRCan employees work in large office buildings, outdoors, in field offices, regional offices, offices in non-government establishments, and in laboratories and research facilities.
    
    The purpose of this RFP is to develop an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that aligns with NRCan’s vision to cultivate and maintain a healthy, safe and supportive workplace where employees feel valued and engaged to achieve results. This includes:
    •    contributing to a productive work environment by offering Core EAP services for promoting the well being of Employees and their family members, surviving spouses and retirees on an established yearly fixed cost;
    •    providing consistent, timely, efficient and cost-effective service delivery to all employees for all EAP services; and 
    •    providing flexibility for NRCan to acquire Enhanced EAP services with specialized programming on a fee for service basis.
