HQ1615DB - Defence Construction Canada - Request for Abbreviated Proposals, Design and Construction, New Willow Park Armoury, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In accordance with the rules, regulations, statutes and guidelines, and the professional associations, on the Province of Nova Scotia, Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is calling for Design-Builders, having experience in the development of new military armouries, or other similar type buildings incorporating training and instructional facilities, offices, storage spaces, equipment garages and vehicle maintenance facilities, utilizing the NBCC and incorporating sustainable design features rated using the LEED® Canada NC 2009 system, to submit Technical Proposals and Offers of Service to provide the following services for the design and construction of the new Willow Park Armoury facility:
PART 1
•	Pre-Design
•	Concept Design 
•	Design Development
•	Construction Documents
PART 2	
•	Construction
•	Post-Construction
Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the Request for Abbreviated Proposals (RFAP) document.  The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as professional, technical and managerial expertise, and approach and methodology.  The highest ranking firm selected through the evaluation process, including a factor for the price element, will be invited to negotiate an Agreement with DCC.

This opportunity follows tendering procedures in accordance with Chapter 10 of NAFTA.

The estimated construction cost is in the order of magnitude of $38,000,000.
