This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Grand Valley Institution for Women. Trade agreement: This procurement is subject to Nafta. Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid. Competitive Procurement Strategy: Compliant bid that meets all the mandatory requirements and provides the lowest bid. Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement. Security Requirements: There is a security requirement associated with the requirement. For additional information, consult Part 4 - Evaluation Procedures and Basis of Selection and Part 6 - Resulting Contract Clauses. Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide snow plowing/shoveling/salting at 1575 Homer Watson Blvd. and 520 Manitou Drive, both located in Kitchener, Ontario. Objectives: Snow plowing/shoveling shall embrace the roads, parking areas, driveways, vehicle gates, pedestrian gates, sidewalks, fire hydrants, etc. as show in "Annex C" and other areas as directed by the Project Authority. The contractor must supply the snow removal service as and when required by the Institution within 24 hours of request. Contractor shall make good all damages caused by snow clearing and snow removal operations Contractor shall sweep all paved surfaces and sidewalks and dispose of all materials in an environmentally friendly manner at the end of the snow season. Deliverables: The contractor must supply the snow removal service as and when required by the Institution within 24 hours of request. The contractor and their employees must be Smart about Salt Certified. Contractor is to provide 24/7snowplowing/salting service with a one hour call in the event of a major snowfall/ice event. Contractor is to provide snow removal service within one day of a heavy snow event. Snow may not be stored on site and must be removed. The contract shall embrace the roads, parking areas, driveways, vehicle gates, pedestrian gates sidewalks etc. as shown on the attached drawing. (Annex A) and other areas as directed by the Project Authority. The contractor is to show a complete list of the equipment which the bidder proposes to use for the execution of the contract work and shall be furnished to the Correctional Service of Canada at time of tendering. All equipment used onsite must be less than five years old at time of contract award. All equipment must have all safety markings and lights as required by provincial and federal legislation.
