Description
Background: The Climate Research Division (CRD) of Environment Canada is seeking professional service to support a future storminess study as simulated by CMIP5 models. The CRD is seeking a contractor to extract cyclone tracking information and to conduct some initial statistical analysis on storminess. Tasks: 1) Conduct case studies to produce proper parameter configuration for the application of Serreze’s storm tracking algorithm on CMIP5 simulations by different models. 2) Apply Serreze’s algorithm to extract storm tracking information from all available CMIP5 high-resolution sea level pressure fields. 3) Prepare regional/seasonal statistics for further analysis.
