    The Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC) operates a number of networks across Canada, including aerological, meteorological, climatological and hydrologic networks. An important component of its mandate is to acquire data from these networks. The aerological data collected are used to reinitialize the digital models used to produce weather forecasts.
    
    The mandate is to conduct two aerological surveys, in the morning and evening, every day of the year, for Environment Canada’s (EC) Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC). The site and buildings for these surveys shall be provided by the MSC and shall be identified in this contract as the Sept-Îles Aerological Station. The Sept-Îles Aerological Station is located at 51 Airport Road, Sept-Îles QC G4R 5G2. All equipment and instruments shall be supplied by Environment Canada's MSC.
    
    Services requested shall be for one (1) year from the contract award with the possibility to extend the term of the contract of four (4) additional period of one (1) year each.
