The Enterprise Solutions Directorate within the CIO of Industry Canada requires the services of Testers to work in the QA teams testing web applications through out the development live cycle of IT projects. SCOPE OF WORK and DELIVERABLES The Testers will be working within a project team or on their own, based on tasks and projects • Develop, write and update test plans, strategy, procedures and test cases and execute through the analysis of requirements documents or User Stories. • Document, retest and manage bugs using a ticket-tracking tool: JIRA) • Report summary of testing efforts, looking for ways to improve quality • Collaborates with client and team members in finding solutions for technical issues • Creates an environment of continuous improvement when testing applications • Questions and collaborates with the development team to ensure the business need is being met • Participate in the approval process of an application going into production. • Collaborate with the development staff to resolve issues, problems or execute tasks as reported through the ticket-tracking tool • Weekly status report to Industry Canada project manager • Complete and submit, for weekly approval, time sheets by project using the (in-house) Project Tracking System
