    Title:
2014, 2016 & 2018 Adult National Immunization Coverage Survey (NICS)

    Background:
The Contractor will be responsible for implementing the 2014 Adult National Immunization Coverage Survey (Adult NICS) between March 2014 and March 2015. This population-based survey is conducted routinely by the Centre for Immunization and Respiratory Infectious Diseases (CIRID) of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Recent Adult NICS were performed in 2001, 2006, 2008, 2010 and in 2012. The purpose of the Adult NICS is to assess immunization coverage levels for select vaccines in the non-institutionalized Canadian adult population 18 years and older and for specific target groups recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI). This survey also aims to assess knowledge, attitudes and behaviours surrounding adult vaccination.
de a brief background description of the requirement, including any information that will help bidders understand the overall context.

    Scope:
The Adult NICS will be completed in four phases. In Phase I, the Contractor will be responsible for pilot testing and finalising the questionnaire. In Phase II, the Contractor will use the final version of the 2014 Adult NICS questionnaire, to complete a minimum of 3000 interviews of the non-institutionalized Canadian adult population 18 years and older and will over sample as required to ensure that there are no less than 400 persons in each group. In Phase III, the Contractor will undertake an analysis of the data, according to the selected analysis plan provided by the PHAC. In Phase IV, the Contractor will develop a final report in French and English which summarizes key findings according to the outline provided in Section E1.5.

    Mandatory Requirements:

As demonstrated in the résumés/CVs, personnel involved in the technical component of the survey, such as design of the research project, research instrument development, analysis and reporting must possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree majoring in statistics or a relevant field such as a research-based (graduate) degree in the social and behavioural sciences, a Bachelor of Arts, Science, or Master’s Degree in public health or health sciences from a recognized university.
