Traffic Control Training for inmates. This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Pacific Region Trade agreement: Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)/Canada-Peru, Canada-Colombia and/or Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreements. Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid. Competitive Procurement Strategy: Compliant bid with the lowest price per point. Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement. Security Requirements: This contract includes security requirements. Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service of Canada is committed to providing programming to offenders to meet their employment needs, consistent with community standards and labour market conditions. Objectives: The Contractor will provide a series of Traffic Control Persons Certification Course approved by WorkSafe BC. Deliverables: The Contractor will provide all tools, materials and equipment relevant to the Traffic Control Persons Certification Course. The Contractor will ensure that proper safety and security are maintained within the teaching environment. The Contractor will offer either: 1) Full Traffic Control Person Certification, a full two day course, for $$$ per person. (minimum of 8 students, maximum of 14 students). 2) Traffic Control Awareness Certification, a one day course, for $$$ per person. (minimum of 8 students, maximum of 14 students). The Contractor will deliver the Traffic Control Persons Certification Course approved by WorkSafe BC at CSC institutions in British Columbia (excluding William Head Institution). Participants who have successfully completed this Traffic Control Persons Certification Course are thus certified to control traffic moving on public roads within the Province of British Columbia through a work zone by monitoring, maintaining, and adjusting work zones as work progresses to maintain the safety of pedestrians, drivers, and workers. The Contractor will administer exams and/or competency-based assessments directly related to the skills and defined competency approved by Worksafe BC for the Traffic Control Persons Certification Course. The Contractor will register the successful students with the appropriate authority and will ensure the delivery of all certificates to the designated Program Manager at the site where the program is delivered within 21 days of course delivery. The Contractor will complete daily attendance recording including assessment of the following criteria: punctuality, attendance, interpersonal relationships, attitude, motivation, behaviour, effort, productivity and responsibility. The Contractor will also report any concerns immediately to the designated Operational Manager at the site where the program is delivered. At the end of each training program, the results of the final assessments for each participant will be submitted in writing to the designated Operational Manager at the site where the program is delivered. A copy shall be provided to the Project Authority as evidence when invoicing. Additional information to be provided with any invoice will include date and location of training sessions, number of participants, and number of successful completions.
