    Description of the requirement:
    
    The Information Management Brank of the Chief Information Office of Industry Canada developing a procurement vehicle (TBIPS) which will provide IMB and business units with access to services within the following IM/IT Services streams on an “as required” basis for a period of up to 3 years.
    	
    I.1 Data Conversion Specialist
    I.4 Database Modeller/IM Modeller
    I.5 IM Architect
    
    Areas of expertise that will be acquired using this procurement vehicle will include but may not be limited to:
    •	IM capacity and maturity assessments to support modernization of IM applications and recordkeeping;
    •	Conceptual and logical modelling of business and recordkeeping processes and data structures;
    •	Information architecture services to support application architecture and design such as data standards and definition, metadata management, recordkeeping compliance in systems of record applications and GCDOCS environments; 
    •	Designing information architecture tools such as metadata and controlled vocabulary development and management; and
    •	Data migration/conversion expertise to implement IA designs and tools, including requirements for digitization of paper-based information resources
    
    Key Activities will include but may not be limited to, the following
    
    •	Providing information architecture advice, guidance and support to business units and IMB;
    •	Developing data retention and disposition implementation strategies, plans and tools;
    •	Developing and implementing IA and IM structures and tools, such as data dictionaries, models and element sets, and controlled vocabularies and business rules to support implementation;
    •	Ensuring that proposed IA tools are aligned with existing Enterprise Information Architecture approaches, products and tools, such as the departmental Business Information Architecture, existing taxonomies and GCDOCS implementation;  
    •	Providing IA advice and tools to enterprise Master Data Management and Business Intelligence initiatives and roadmaps;
    •	Proposing an enterprise metadata capture tool if not available, and designing interfaces between applications and metadata management tools;
    •	Presenting recommendations and architectural documentation to IMB and business units, and documenting IA challenges and opportunities;
    •	Participating in the development of documentation such as policies, standards, guidelines and metadata management strategies; 
    •	Developing and implementing a data migration and conversion including digitization initiatives in line with prescribed IM and IA requirements
    
    Proposed period of contract:
    
    The proposed period of contract shall be on an “As and when requested services” from:
