    Description
    This requirement is for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
    
    Title: TRAVERSE SOFTWARE SUPPORT AND UPGRADES 
    
    Introduction:  
    
    The Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) is currently using Traverse application system to manage sales and distribution of CHS nautical products to its network of dealers.  CHS has a requirement to upgrade the in-house Traverse application to the latest version of the application, porting all the data and existing customizations in the process.  With this upgrade there is also a need to acquire maintenance and 50 hours of additional support in order to implement various customizations and or modifications to existing configurations and reports. Two option year periods have been put in place should there be a need for continue maintenance and support on the Traverse application system in future years.   
    
    The duration of this contract is from contract award till March 31, 2014 with two additional one year option periods for annual support and maintenance.  The services will be on an “as and when” required basis. 
    
    Objectives of the requirement:  
    It is required for the contractor to upgrade CHS current version of the Traverse Implementation Application System to Version 11 in time for the 2014 shipping/sales season.  It is also required for the contractor to provide a yearly maintenance agreement for the provision of software and support.  These services are required to provide on an “as needed basis”. 
    
    Estimated Value: 
    
    The total estimated value including all option years is $83,500 + GST/HST 
    
    Security Requirement:
    
    The Contractor must at all times during the performance of the Contract hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS) issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD) of Public Work and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
    
    The Contractor‘s personnel requiring access to PROTECTED information, assets or sensitive work site(s) must EACH hold a valid RELIABILITY STATUS, granted or approved by CISD/PWGSC.
    
    The Contractor MUST NOT remove any PROTECTED information or assets from the identified work site (s), and the Contractor must ensure that its personnel are made aware of and comply with this restriction.
    
    Subcontracts which contain security requirements are NOT to be awarded the prior written permission of CISD/PWGSC.
    
    The Contractor must comply with the provisions of the 
    a.	Security Requirements Check List and security guide 
    b.	Industrial Security Manual (Latest Edition) 
    
    
    Mandatory Requirements: 
    
    M1	The bidder must be an authorized reseller of the TRAVERSE Software 		
    M2	The bidder’s proposed resource must have reliability security clearance granted or approved by CISD/PWGSC		
    M3	The bidder’s proposed resource(s) must be fluent in English.
