    Description
The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) is Canada’s national tourism marketing organization. A federal Crown corporation, CTC leads the Canadian tourism industry in marketing Canada as a premier four-season tourism destination, and supports the Canadian economy by generating tourism export revenues. CTC’s approach focuses on those global markets where Canada’s tourism brand leads and yields the highest return on investment. CTC is active in 11 key geographic markets: the new and emerging markets of Brazil, China, India, Japan, Mexico and South Korea, as well as the core markets of Australia, France, Germany, United Kingdom and United States.

This notice serves to advise that the CTC is soliciting proposals through a Negotiated Request for Proposal (the “NRFP”) from proponents able to provide production services that include program and content management, pre-production, production, and post-production services for CTC’s China office located in Beijing.

The CTC are interested in running weekly destination programs and ad hoc vignettes online, that promote Canada as a destination. The weekly destination programs and vignettes will be available for viewing on CTC’s China website www.cn-KeepExploring.ca; 24 hours per day/7 days per week. The program will feature weekly destination videos (supplied by the CTC), and supporting guest host scripts and teasers (produced by the proponent). CTC requires other ad hoc vignettes be produced by the proponent as required. This same program/content will also be featured on other video streaming platforms.

The proponent must a) submit a program sample of their work, b) provide an account manager and any other required representatives who are able to attend meetings in person at CTC’s China office in Beijing at least once per week or more often as required, c) be able to cover events or interview individuals at a moment’s notice, and d) communicate (speak and write) in both English and Chinese.

The CTC anticipates entering into negotiations with the selected proponent for a one (1) year period, with an option to extend on an annual basis by CTC for a total period not to exceed another six (6) years, at CTC’s sole discretion.

The deadline for questions is Friday, February 14, 2014, 15:00 CST.

The closing date and time for this NRFP is Friday, February 21, 2014, 15:00 CST.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please request a detailed copy of the NRFP by sending an email request to: procurement@ctc-cct.ca.
