With the introduction of this initiative came the roadmap for a new Service Delivery Model for the Government of Canada. The new service delivery model is based on the vision of One Process, One System, and One Set of Data. Departments must transition to the new service delivery model over the next four years. The transition includes moving departmental human resource data and transactional information to the new standardized and centralized Human Resource Management System developed and maintained by Public Works and Government Services Canada. AANDC has identified this as a good opportunity and mandated Human Resources and Workplace Services Process Improvement (HRWS PI) to prepare the Department and well position it for the new service delivery model. In addition, HRWS PI is also required by the department to prepare the HR business for upgrade to PeopleSoft v9.1, which has been approved to be the Government of Canada (GC) standard version.
