    Description
    The Public Health Agency of Canada is initiating a process to facilitate the development of National Guidelines for the Screening and Diagnosis of ASD in children and youth (hereafter referred to as ‘Guidelines’).
    
    The objective of this project is to have a group of clinical and diagnostic experts in the field of ASD work together to develop a document on the best practices for ASD assessments.
    
    In order to facilitate the development of these Guidelines, the Agency requires professional services of an experienced writer, as further explained below. 
    
    Scope of Work
    The work involved is complex and highly technical in nature.  The Contractor will be required to:
    • Scope, plan and facilitate the complete process of developing the Guidelines;
    • Initiate, lead and coordinate activities of the ASD-GC to facilitate consensus recommendations to be used to form the basis of a Guidelines document;
    • Access to PubMed to perform and coordinate research and review of relevant literature;
    • Perform all writing duties concerning the work activities listed above.
    
    Estimated Value: The total value of any contract(s) resulting from this RFP must NOT exceed $80,400.00 (inclusive of all costs and applicable taxes).  Travel and living expenses are not expected.

    Mandatory Criteria:
    
    M1. The proposed candidate must have a Graduate level academic background in: health sciences, health policy, or public health.
    
    M2. The proposed candidate must have a minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience working in health care sector.
    
    M3. The proposed resource must have developed 1 (one) health policy document OR participated in the development of 1 (one) health guideline within the last 15 (fifteen) years.
    
    M4. The proposed resource must have a minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience, within the last 10 (ten) years, performing health related research, i.e., literature reviews.
