    Description of the requirement:
    The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) requires the professional services of one (1) Intermediate Information/Records Management/ Recordkeeping Specialist to work with the Information Management Division (IMD) in defining and identifying Information Resources of Business Value (IRBV) for the various business groups within the CNSC, and reviewing and updating file classification rules including retention and disposition
    The resource must be available to work on a full time basis, 37.5 hours per week, for the duration of the contract.
     
    Tasks to be Performed
    
    The Consultant’s tasks will include but are not limited to the following: 
    
    •	Complete standard templates for gathering and documenting the business processes and activities carried out by various business groups at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) in order to identify Information Resources of Business Value (IRBVs).
    •	Research and gather all relevant information for identification of IRBVs, such as information resource, description, security level, business owner, recommended retention period, etc. 
    •	Identify IRBVs based on the analysis of the business functions, processes and activities, carried out by a business client to enable and support the CNSC’s legislated mandate.
    •	Review and validate mappings between IRBVs and business processes and activities, and help business groups establish appropriate procedures for and processes for managing IRBVs  through consultation workshops and interviews with functional area subject matter experts 
    •	Research on legislative and operational requirements for creating IRBVs and their associated controls, such as retention, disposition, taxonomy/classification, repositories, etc. 
    •	Provide training, advice, and recommendations to business groups on recordkeeping 
    •	Identify and assess risks associated with recordkeeping for business groups
    •	Provide recommendations to mitigate risks associated with recordkeeping for business groups
    •	Help complete final inventory of IRBV structured and unstructured repositories 
    •	Make recommendations based on IRBV activities for changes to the CNSC Information Classification Structure (File Plan), including retention periods.
    
    
    Security requirement at bid closing: Valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET, issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
    
    
    Proposed period of contract:
    
    The proposed period of contract shall be from contract award plus 200 days and two irrevocable option periods of 60 days as Option Period 1 and 60 days as Option Period 2.
