NOTE: Only invited bidders can summit a proposal for this TBIPS Description of the requirement: Industry Canada requires the services of one Programmer Analyst to work on applications for Industry Canada’s business clients. Tasks are centered around the development of web applications based on application architecture specifications and requirements according to IC’s standards and guidelines. The web applications are to support the various Industry Canada business units The project(s) require the candidate to have strong knowledge of developing web applications projects in the JEE space with a robust database backend. In addition, the candidate should have experience developing web applications that include a search component. Exposure to an agile development methodology using a Test Driven Development discipline within a multi-disciplinary team is highly desired. Responsibilities may include: •New application code as per the project or projects work plan. •Design and implementation of new application code and enhancements to existing code base •Analyzing business requirements and working with the team to optimize them for a system's implementation •Implementing search functionality in new and existing web application projects •Unit testing of web application code •Technical documentation of any new web applications, •Technical documentation of changes (enhancements and bugs) to web applications. •Collaborative team effort with the Project Manager, Interaction Designer other Developers, Testers and Maintenance developers •Presenting demo to stake holders when necessary •Meets with clients when requested for project deliverables: •Complete and submit, for weekly approval, time sheets by project using the (in-house) Project Tracking System Proposed period of contract: The proposed period of contract shall be on an “As and when requested services” from: Initial Contract Period: Contract award to September 30, 2015 Four Option Years File Number: IC401392 Contracting Authority: Tony Eyre E-Mail: tony.eyre@ic.gc.ca NOTE: Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) Method of Supply is refreshed on an annual basis.
