Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is soliciting research projects on immigration in English speaking communities in Quebec (ESCQs). Please note that under the Canada-Québec Accord, Québec has full responsibility for the selection of immigrants (except Family Class and in-Canada refugee claimants), fully assumes sole responsibility for the francization and integration of permanent residents and establishes its immigration levels. In areas under its responsibility, Québec develops its policies and programs and legislates, regulates and sets its own standards.
