    Description
    Solicitation No. 5P420-14-5140/A

Canyon Church Camp Bridge Replacement Design for Waterton Lakes National Park, AB

Parks Canada requires the services of a structural engineering firm to design a new bridge on the access road to the Canyon Youth Camp in Waterton Lakes National Park. The existing bridge has been closed due to damage of the main structural components caused by flooding in June of 2013. The goal is to replace this bridge with either a clear span bridge or a bridge that has a reduced number of spans that eliminates the deepest pier that is currently damaged. The work includes but is not limited to field work to verify initial conditions and to collect data required for the new design, production of design specifications and drawings to remove the existing structure and to construct a new bridge, and support services during the tendering and construction phases of a new bridge.

All work must be completed on or before November 30, 2015.

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on November 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM MST. The site visit will begin at the Operations Building Compound at #1 Compound Road in Waterton Lakes National Park, AB. Access to the Canyon Church Camp Bridge is restricted at this time of year and a Parks Canada representative will escort bidders in attendance to the bridge site.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
