Description
Questions and Answers for Solicitation #: 52039-14-2089996 – Scaffolding Training – Saskatchewan Penitentiary – Prince Albert SK Question 1 – The Financial portion, appendix B, appears to be asking for a “per diem” charge for use in calculating the cost of each program. In other words, it appears that we are to take the total cost of a six week program, divide it by 30, and enter that as the proposed cost. (the same type of formula would apply to a four week program). Is that correct? Answer 1 – The Correctional Service of Canada is asking bidders to provide their cost per participant for a training session that will be to a maximum of 6 weeks in duration. Bidders are invited to submit one cost accordingly, for the “Firm Per Diem Rate: All inclusive price per participant.” ________________________________________ Question 2 – The RFSO does not address the anchors, lanyards or harnesses that each student must wear while working on practical projects. Is this to be part of the proposal? Answer 2 – The RFSO indicates what CORCAN will provide, namely the Personal Protective equipment being the steel toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves. Any other equipment that students will require during the training session to work on practical projects is to be supplied by the contractor and should be factored into the contractor’s cost. ________________________________________ Question 3 – The supply of the various types of scaffolding itself, which will be used in the practical project, is not mentioned in the RFSO. Is this to be part of the proposal? Answer 3 – The RFSO indicates what CORCAN will provide, namely the Personal Protective equipment being the steel toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves. All types of scaffolding which will be used in the practical project of the training session must be provided by the contractor and should be factored into the contractor’s cost. ________________________________________ Question 4 – The RFSO does not indicate who will be providing the tools for the trainees to use, during the practical portion of their programs. Will these be provided by CORCAN or are they to be provided by the contractor? Answer 4 – The RFSO indicates that CORCAN will provide, the identified Personal Protective equipment being the steel toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves. Any other tools that the students will require for the training session, to work on practical projects is to be supplied by the contractor and should be factored into the contractor’s cost. ________________________________________
