Fabrication and Installation Navigational Tower Sault Ste. Marie, ON

Nature of Work:	

Fisheries and Oceans Canada requires work under this Contract to include but is not limited to the provision of all labour, materials, and equipment required to:
a.	Fabricate one (1) new 6.1 m (20’) steel aid to navigation (AtoN) tower using fabrication drawings provided;
b.	Transport the tower to the designated staging location for coating application;
c.	Collect the tower from designated staging location and transport the tower to the project site for erection;
d.	Complete the installation of new reinforced concrete foundation;
e.	Erect the new AtoN tower, including all appurtenances;
f.	Demolish and dispose of the existing steel towers and foundations;
The following work will be undertaken by others and is hereby excluded:
a. Application of Coast Guard Marine Coating System;
b. Supply of a new tower lighting system (self-contained lantern).


Bidders are instructed to consult the tender package for further details and specific requirements.

Tender documents must be downloaded from www.buyandsell.gc.ca. Those who submit a bid agree to be bound by the instructions, clauses and conditions of the solicitation and accept the clauses and conditions of any resulting contract.  

Site Location:  Lat./Long.: 46°27'50.80"N  84°28'22.30"W. The site is located in Sault Ste. Marie, ON

Non-Mandatory Site Visit: is to be held at the Contractors discretion.  It is not a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to visit the site but it is suggested to do so to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. 

Start Date:  Contract award. 

Completion Date: Work shall be completed no later than March 20, 2015, unless otherwise negotiated and approved in writing by a Contracting Officer.

Your bid submission must include:

 		One (1) Signed copy of the Form of Tender;
		Bid Bond 


Please submit Tender by mail/courier to Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Procurement Hub in Fredericton, NB. Envelope sample in ITT letter, see attached package.

Signed Tenders will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Atlantic Time: Thursday, January 15, 2015, for the said service in accordance with the documents enclosed.

Any Tenders received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be not be considered. Tenders may be revised by email provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time.

The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated.
