Description
PURPOSE OF THIS ADVANCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors and sub-contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT This project will provide an integrated Health Services Centre for medical, dental and mental healthcare at CFB Edmonton, Alberta. The project has been registered with the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC), with a target of obtaining a LEED “Silver” rating. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES Work under this project includes the supply of all labour, equipment, materials and supervision as required to construct a two-storey plus penthouse Health Services Centre with a building area of 6,120 m2 and a gross floor area of 13,442 m2. Note that project supporting consultant work (i.e. materials testing) will be required. The approximate construction cost for this project is $53,500,000.00 It is anticipated that the procurement for this project will be initiated in April 2015. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by DND. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Contractor will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Sub-contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). PROCESS Contractors and Sub-Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Contractors and Sub-Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to April 1, 2015 quoting the following information: - Contract number IE0655C1; and - Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
