Indian Oil and Gas Canada (IOGC) is a Special Operating Agency of the federal government reporting to Lands and Economic Development, Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC). IOGC is responsible for the management and administration of oil and gas resources on Indian Reserves across Canada.

As a Special Operating Agency, IOGC is required to submit an annual business plan to the Deputy Minister.  The IOGC plan must link to priorities identified by the Lands and Economic Development sector and AANDC’s strategic plan, while also setting out IOGC project plans, divisional operational plans, key functional plans and performance management targets in accordance with IOGC’s approved performance management framework. 

IOGC operates pursuant to the Indian Oil and Gas Act and Indian Oil and Gas Regulations, 1995. To ensure IOGC offers the best, most modern service possible, it must keep current with the ever changing business environment and needs of First Nations, industry and government.  IOGC is in the midst of significant changes as a result of recent amendments to the Indian Oil and Gas Act, and the development of new Regulations with associated change implication to policies, procedures and systems.

Location of Work to be Performed: Calgary Alberta

The proposed period of contract shall be from award to May 31, 2015 inclusive with an irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to two additional one-year periods.
