ADVANCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE INSPECTION, TESTING AND MINOR REPAIR (ITM) OF FIRE DETECTION AND SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS, EDMONTON, COLD LAKE, SUFFIELD, AND WAINWRIGHT, ALBERTA (WITH SECURITY REQUIREMENTS) PURPOSE OF THIS ADVANCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT Contractor services and deliverables required for the Inspection, Testing and Minor Repair (ITM) of various fire protection systems located at CFB Edmonton, 4 Wing Cold Lake, CFB Suffield, and CFB Wainwright, Alberta. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES This service contract will include but not limited to: Annual and Monthly Inspection, Testing and Minor Repair (ITM) of various fire protection systems (fire alarm systems, fire detection and extinguishing systems, fire pumps, and fire booster pumps) as per applicable codes, and standards. This service contract is estimated to be in the rough order of $4 million over three (3) years. It is anticipated that this procurement may be initiated in early 2016. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Contractors will be required to hold a valid FACILITY SECURITY CLEARANCE (FSC) at the level of SECRET, issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). PROCESS Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to March 31, 2015 quoting the following information: -Contract number CFFM1201; and -Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
