    Description
    Requirement:
    
    The work includes removal of identified portions of existing fencing, replacing with new wire mesh fencing, burrow protection and electrical wire animal protection.  Work will also include replacement of existing access gates.
    
    The Jasper Transfer Station located 5km east of the Town of Jasper currently has an electrified fence surrounding the working area. This existing fencing was installed in 1989 and is approx. 1400 metres in length. The existing fencing is both electrified and has burrow protection chain link material on concrete pad extending outwards from the fence for approx. 1.2 metres. This fencing has proven to be very effective in keeping bears, wolfs and coyotes from entering the grounds of the Transfer Station.
    
    This project will remove 791.2m of existing fencing and associated materials in the smaller footprint area and installation of 943.4m of new wire mesh fencing, 3 electrical wires, 3 angled barbed wire on top of fencing, swing gate and sliding front entrance gate.

    Project Timeline:
    
    The work must be completed on or before July 31, 2015. 
    
    Optional Site Visit:
    
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at the Transfer Station, located on highway 16, 8.5km east of Jasper Townsite, Alberta on April 14, 2015. The site visit will begin at 1:00pm (MDT).  
    
    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
