ADVANCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE C.000441A – HOUSING OF THE 430 TACTICAL HELICOPTERS SQUADRON VALCARTIER, (QC) (WITH SECURITY REQUIREMENTS) PURPOSE OF THIS ADVANCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT This project aims to procure the services of a general contractor to build a new building of 1,849m2 and the demolition of four existing buildings for the 430 logistics tactical squadron. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES Work performed under this contract includes, without being limited to the supply of labour, material, supervision and equipment necessary for the general construction of building VC625 and the deconstruction of four existing buildings. The performance of work will be done in phases, in order to allow DND to use the premises intermittently during the construction work in general building (VC-625) and the demolition work in existing buildings. The estimated value of this project is around 9.9M$ It is anticipated that this procurement will be initiated in the Fall of 2015. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS For this contract, Contractors will be required to hold a valid FACILITY SECURITY CLEARANCE (FSC) at the level of RELIABILITY issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Sub-contractors will be required to hold a valid FACILITY SECURITY CLEARANCE (FSC) at the level of RELIABILITY issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). PROCESS Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to May 19th 2015 quoting the following information: - Contract number C.000441A; and - Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
