    1)    Cartridge .308 Winchester 168 Grain Boat Tail Hollow Point, 
    2)    Cartridge .308 Winchester 175 Grain Boat Tail Hollow Point  
    
    The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for the following firm quantities of ammunition: 
    fifteen thousand (15,000) rounds of Cartridge .308 Winchester 168 Grain Boat Tail Hollow Point, twenty-nine thousand, five hundred (29,500) rounds of Cartridge 308 Winchester 175 Grain Boat Tail Hollow Point. Bidders are advised that substitute products will not be considered; reference B4024T (2006-08-15), No Substitute Products.
    
    
    All quantities are to be delivered to RCMP Divisional Stores locations across Canada.
    
    This requirement is to be supplied in accordance with the following RCMP Purchase Descriptions: PD-AM-19, dated 2006-01-09, PD-AM-28, dated 2011-07-04. Purchase Description documents can be found attached to the RFP.
    
    The RCMP is invoking the National Security Exception. This procurement is subject to national security exception and is, therefore, excluded from all of the obligations of the trade agreements and is limited to manufacturers in Canada and the United-States of America.
    
    The successful bidder will be determined based upon the lowest price proposal and technically compliant bid.
    
    The Crown reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. 
    
    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada. 
    
    The bid solicitation documents contain all the requirements relating to the bid solicitation. Any other information or documentation provided to or obtained by a bidder from any source are not relevant. Bidders should not assume that practices used under previous contracts will continue, unless they are described in the bid solicitation. Bidders should also not assume that their existing capabilities meet the requirements of the bid solicitation simply because they have met previous requirements.  It is the Bidder's responsibility to obtain clarification of the requirements contained in the bid solicitation, if necessary, before submitting a bid.
