    Title: Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO) Core Laboratory Walk-in Refrigeration               Expansion. 
    
    Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time: October 6, 2015 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed.
    
    Please address the bid to Nancy L. Stanford, Senior Contracting Officer.  The bid can be e-mailed to Nancy L. Stanford at nancy.stanford@dfo-mpo.gc.ca  or make sure any outside envelope (i.e. courier envelopes) are addressed as per the sample below.
    
    The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated.
    
    Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened.  Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time.
    
    Nature of the Work:
    
    The Department of Fisheries & Oceans Canada (DFO) is seeking to retain a contractor to complete all work required to expand an existing Foster walk-in refrigerator in the Murray Building at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography.
    
    The bidder is to supply & install all materials and complete all work to expand the existing Foster walk-in refrigerator by approximately 13 feet 6 inches to fully enclose all 13 feet of existing tracking in floor. Contractor is to confirm exact dimensions on site. The expanded refrigerator must be fully functioning and maintain temperature of 4 degrees Celsius. All materials and workmanship must meet or exceed those installed in existing refrigerator.
    
    
    Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point:
    
    The site is located in the Bedford Institute of Oceanography, 1 Challenger Dr., Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.. 
    
    
    
    
    
    Mandatory Site Visit 
    
    The site visit will occur over a one day period at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography.  Contractors are responsible for all costs associated with getting from home base to the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. Specific meeting location will be clarified during the tender call.   
    
    Contractors wishing to visit the site must contact the Contracting Authority to obtain further information/schedule.
    
    It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements.  The Bidder’s Representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive.  
    
    Start Date: Upon Contract Award
    
    Completion Date: All work to be completed within 12 weeks from contract award date.

    Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than October 1  2015, 2 pm (14:00 Hours) EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME to the contract authority.  The department may be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date. 
    
    Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
