    Description of Work:

    The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has a responsibility to provide information to the fishing sectors that is timely, accurate and enforceable. Recreational fishery information is complex and frequently changes throughout the fishing season. To facilitate better information transfer, the Department is seeking to develop a recreational fishery web application and associated centralized recreational fishery information database to support the cataloguing of recreational fishing management decisions such as changes to limits and sizes, openings and closures, and other in-season amendments that will support the Department’s objectives in providing information to the public and industry.

    The purpose of the project is to develop:

    1. an application program interface (API).
    2. a central repository of key information required by the Pacific Recreational Fishery (PRF); and,
    3. Updated Recreational Website that features dynamic web pages utilizing the API to access up-to-date information from the central data repository.
    • Bidders must submit a bid for all resource categories
    • The work is currently being performed by:
      • R.S. Garard Holdings Ltd. operating as Beyond Basics Development Services has a contract to define the business requirements on this project ($55,125).
      • T. Dean Consulting Ltd has a contract to provide Project Management services on this project ($9880).
      • No development work has been initiated. The TBIPS contract is the first contract for development work to be conducted.
