SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF TWO NEW DOOR SYSTEMS AT THE CHETICAMP VISITOR CENTRE

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Work covered by this requirement comprises of the complete supply and installation of two new door systems for the Cheticamp Visitor Center at the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Cheticamp, NS.

The Contractor will be required to remove and replace the existing doors on the main entrance of the Cheticamp Visitor Center with new doors and windows.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME:

November 5, 2015 at 1400 hrs (EST)

Faxed submission will NOT be accepted.Only bid revision can be accepted by fax.

Bid security is required.

Contractors must have $5,000,000.00 Liability Insurance Coverage.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Cheticamp Visitor Centre, 16648 Cabot Trail, Cheticamp, NS on Thursday, OCTOBER 22, 2015. The site visit will begin at 11:00 a.m. (local time).

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than Tuesday, OCTOBER 20, 2015 at 02:00 p.m. (EDT) to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

NOTE TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS:

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

DELIVERY DATE:

The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work on or before January 31, 2016.
