    Description

    GENERAL Description of Work:

    This project involves providing the maintenance of the lawns and landscaped grounds of the Chambly Canal National Historic Site of Canada (approximately 319,385,0m2), located in Chambly, Quebec, including: all grassed and rough lands, paved areas (footpaths, parking lots, bicycle path, sidewalks, trails, etc.), plant beds, hedges, trees, bushes, shrubs and

    related works located within those areas, as shown on the plans.

    Mandatory Site Visit: It is MANDATORY that the bidder attends the site visit at the designated date and time to examine the scope of the work required and the existing conditions. A maximum of two (2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the sites.

    The site visit will be held on November 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m (EST). Interested bidders will meet at the parking area of Chambly Canal Workshop located at 1840, Bourgogne Street, Chambly, Quebec, J3L 1Z3 (Access by the parking lot of «Parc des Ateliers», Bourgogne Street). Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than the day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance. Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site and their proposals, therefore, will be considered as non-responsive. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

    As proof of attendance, at the site visit, the Authorized Representative will have an Attendance Form which MUST be signed by the bidder's representative. It is the responsibility of all bidders to ensure they have signed the Mandatory Site Visit Attendance Form prior to leaving the site. Proposals submitted by bidders who have not attended the site visit or failed to sign the Attendance Form will be deemed non-responsive.

    December 7, 2015 at 2 o’clock PM (EST)

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    Period of Contract:

    The period of any resulting Contract, cover a period of three (3) years, starting April 1st 2016 to March 31, 2019, with two (2) years available renewal periods of 12 consecutive months.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
