Physical Security Information Management System

PURPOSE OF THE REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)

This is not a bid solicitation. This RFI will not necessarily result in any procurement action. A contract will not result directly from this RFI.

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is currently considering a long-term technology solution to procure a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) System. The PSIM system would provide a platform and applications, designed to integrate multiple unconnected security applications and devices, and control them through one comprehensive user interface. It would collect and correlate events from existing disparate security devices and information systems (video, access control, sensors, analytics, networks, building systems, etc.) to empower personnel to identify and proactively resolve situations. The PSIM system would provide the CRA with a national system for the management and monitoring of all of its electronic security systems and components, including access control, intrusion monitoring, and CCTV. By adopting this approach, the CRA could retain its current investment in a majority of systems and components while also gain a national monitoring, management, and control facility by way of the PSIM.

KEY OBJECTIVE

The objective of this RFI is to gather the most current information possible from industry on the capabilities of Physical Security Information Management system as described above.
