BAR U Ranch Visitor Centre Water Mitigation – Longview AB

Requirement:

Parks Canada Agency (PCA) intends to proceed with drainage improvements around the Bar U Ranch Visitor Orientation Centre (VOC), as recommended in a recent Geotechnical Study Report (ARA Engineering, July 2015). The recommended improvements call for a french drain to intercept water flows around the VOC and provide positive drainage relief to the south.

The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Locate and care of existing utilities
• Trenching (Approx. 140m) including topsoils salvage and subsoil haul and disposal
• Supply and installation of geotextile
• Supply and installation of perforated PE drainage tubing (Approx. 140m)
• Supply and placement of clean drainage aggregates
• Backfill, trimming and leveling, cleanup and seeding of disturbed areas
• Removal, salvage, and replacement of boardwalk and decking

All work is to be completed to the standards as set out by the 2014 Alberta building code. The Contractor shall supply all materials necessary to complete the Work

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on December 10, 2015. The site visit will begin at 10:00am at Bar U Ranch Visitor Orientation Centre.
