    Background

    1. The Fund Manager will manage the extension of a multi-donor Health Pooled Fund (HPF2) in the Republic of South Sudan (RSS). The HPF2 is expected to be a 2-year fund of around GBP 88-million (subject to the necessary funding being made available) supported by the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD), the British Government’s Department for International Development (DFID), the European Union (EU), and the Swedish International Development and Cooperation Agency (SIDA). It will support delivery of essential primary health and nutrition services and referral health services up to state hospital level in 6 of South Sudan’s 10 states as well as health system strengthening at the national, state, county, facility and community levels through non-governmental organisations. The objective of the assignment is to provide a comprehensive technical package of fiduciary, health system and maternal and child health and nutrition expertise for the establishment, management and use of the Health Pooled Fund.
