    Description

Established in 2012, the Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP) is a federally-funded program that enhances Canada's public safety and security through investments in science and technology (S&T). More specifically, the CSSP strengthens Canada’s ability to anticipate, prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from natural disasters, serious accidents, crime and terrorism through the convergence of S&T with policy, operations and intelligence.

Further information on the CSSP can be found at the following website: http://www.science.gc.ca/cssp.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to notify industry, academia and other stakeholders of the proposed Science and Technology (S&T) challenges for which Canada intends to seek proposals under the upcoming Call for Proposals. The RFI also seeks information and feedback from industry and academia, and other stakeholders on their interest, capacity and ability to provide research and development services to Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), a special agency of the Department of National Defence (DND). The Rules of Engagement for this activity are enclosed as Attachment 1. The Stakeholder Day presentation will be enclosed as Attachment 2 following the Stakeholder Day. The draft Call for Proposals, including the draft Bidder’s Guidebook, is enclosed as Attachment 3.
