Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Services at the Embassy of Canada in Saudi Arabia
Requirement
Global Affairs Canada (GAC) has a requirement for the provision of mechanical and electrical maintenance services at the Embassy of Canada in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The requirement includes regularly scheduled (preventative) maintenance and remedial maintenance repair of a range of building systems including HVAC, pneumatic controls, chilled water, condenser water systems, hot and cold domestic water systems, water treatment, plumbing, electrical, emergency power, fire suppression, and, also household equipment such as fridges, washing machines, cooking ranges, dishwashers, clothes dryers, and automated door/gate systems located at the Embassy’s Chancellery, Official Residence (OR) and Staff Quarters (SQ) locations.
The contract award date (tentative) is set for 01 May 2016 for an initial contract period of two (2) years with the option to extend the term of the contract by three (3) additional option years. A single contract will be awarded for this requirement.
Mandatory Site Visit
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a site visit to be held on 23 February 2016 10:00am Arabia Standard Time (AST) at the Embassy of Canada, Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than one (1) day before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who will attend.
Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their bids will be rejected as non-compliant. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
Distribution of Solicitation Documents
GETS is not responsible for the distribution of the solicitation documents. The solicitation documents will be made available to Bidder(s) during the mandatory site visit

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
