    VSAT Sparing Requirements For Shared Services Canada (SSC) - Global Affairs Canada (GAC)

    1. Definition of requirement: This bid solicitation is being issued by Shared Services Canada. The resulting contract will be used by SSC to provide shared services to its client the Department of Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

    The resulting contract is for the supply VSAT Sparing components for GAC Missions abroad. The delivery point will be in the National Capital area. The deliverables include, among others: VSAT C/KU Band parts, cables and connectors, remote access equipment, consumables and tools. These are required to be delivered and invoiced prior to March 31, 2016.

    This bid solicitation does not preclude SSC from using any other method of supply available.

    The requirements are articulated in the attached VSAT Sparing Request for Quotations. (See attached Annex A.)

    2. Security requirement: This solicitation contains no requirement for vendor and personnel security screening.

    3. Trade Agreements: This requirement is subject to the following agreements:

    Canada has invoked the National Security Exception in respect of this requirement and, as a result, none of the trade agreements apply to this requirement.

    Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements (CLCAs) do not apply as all the goods and services shall be delivered in regions not covered by Land Claim Agreements.
