Description of the requirement:
BACKGROUND
On April 16, 2015, the Government of Canada’s first Blueprint 2020 Interdepartmental Innovation Fair took place in Ottawa. The virtual programme for this one-day event provided webcast for public servants to participate in presentations and limited activities happening on the tradeshow floor. This included opening and closing remarks and short interviews with kiosk representatives. The virtual elements proved to be successful with over 2,300 connections. However, there was little to no opportunity for interaction between virtual and in-person participants.
58% of public servants are outside of the National Capital Region (NCR). Blueprint 2020 is at a point in its evolution where it has reached the enablers - those public servants who are actively engaged in Blueprint 2020 related activities, are networked, and/or have the ability to influence others to get involved. To ensure continued engagement, the exercise needs to focus more on targeting specific populations that have not been reached yet, are less engaged or face barriers to engagement.
OBJECTIVE
To deliver a virtual programme by way of a virtual fair environment for the second Blueprint 2020 Innovation Fair to be held on April 20, 2016 and maximize participation for the 58% of public servants who work in regional or operational settings, as well as those who are unable to attend in person from the NCR.
Proposed period of contract:
The proposed period of contract shall be from Contract award to July 31, 2016.
