    Description

    Requirement:

    The Banff Field Unit requires a construction contractor to upgrade infrastructure on its Tunnel Mountain Village II Campground in Banff National Park. Work under this Contract comprises installation of new and replacing existing underground and above ground utilities including: water and sanitary mains and services, flow meter chambers, chlorination chamber, sewage dumping station, gas mains and services, electrical distribution, service connections and fixtures and street lighting poles. Surface works required includes: construction of asphalt pavement, road structure, storm water culverts and ditches, restoration and improvements to landscape including tree and shrub planting, topsoil and seeding (provided by Parks Canada) and related works. This project will require tying into existing neighbouring services, staging construction to maintain downstream utilities and providing temporary services to affected areas. Construction is to take place in spring/summer 2016.

    Project Timeline:

    The Contractor shall perform and complete all Work by October 6, 2016. See specifications for project milestones.

    Mandatory Site Visit:

    There will be a site visit on May 25, 2016 at 10:00am MDT. Interested bidders are to meet at Harkin Hall located in the Parks Canada Banff Administration Building at 101 Mountain Avenue Banff, AB.

    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
