Background:

TBS has undertaken a number of SAP initiatives which require the support of technical SAP resources. Specifically, TBS requires 4 different categories of resources, each working in a separate domain within the SAP environment.

The different domains are defined below. TBS is issuing an RFP for each.

1. Reporting and Analytics: these resources will be working on consolidating data from different sources and surfacing them using various SAP Reporting tools. In addition they will be maintaining the reporting platforms, warehouse and business intelligence products that will support TBS which currently are the Business Objects suite of tools, Lumira, SAP BW and HANA.

2. Business Planning Consolidation (BPC), Development and Functional support: these resources will be providing functional ‎and development support for the SAP systems including FIORI development, ABAP development and configuration for BPC as well as other SAP modules.

3. Basis‎ and Security: these resources will be managing the SAP technical and security infrastructure for all of TBS SAP products and managing the overall SAP architecture that supports them.

4. SAP support: These resources will help manage the various SAP initiatives, manage cloud infrastructure, and help perform strategic planning activities within TBS. These activities though not technically SAP will require an understanding of the SAP environment and will directly support TBS ability to deliver on SAP initiatives.

These RFPs are intended to address TBS’ immediate and short term needs as other initiatives are currently being assessed which may impact the future requirements and skill sets of the technical resources. It is expected that over the next 6 months, these requirements will be defined at which time TBS will develop its long term strategy

Description of Work:

Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) requires SAP Technical Analysts and SAP Technical Architects on an as and when requested basis to support TBS with multiple SAP projects. The resources will maintain and provide Basis and security administration support for TBS’s SAP platforms.

Security Requirement: Common PS SRCL #19 applies

Minimum Corporate Security Required: Facility Security Clearance (FSC) Secret
