    Pigsty Walls and Ceiling Finishes Improvements – G building, Sherbrooke

    Sealed tenders for the project indicated above, addressed to the attention of the Contract Officer, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, will be accepted at the following address, up to the tender closing date and time indicated below:

    Scope of Work:

    The works consist in general in covering the walls and painting the ceiling and doors of Sherbrooke RDC Pigsty #7 Section G rooms (18 rooms). The type of wall covering will be HDPE plastic laminated on plywood. Multiple services located on the walls and the ceilings will have to be removed or detached and afterwards reinstalled or reattached. For example: water pipes, electrical conduits, junction boxes, electrical outlets, fire alarm devices, ventilation opening release mechanisms, hooks, shutters, etc.

    Site Visit:

    A site visit will be held on Monday, July 4th, 2016 at 10:00 AM (EDT) at 2000 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 0C8. Offerors who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation and will be posted on buyandsell.gc.ca.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    The pigsty is a biosecure environment. All visitors will have to follow the protection measures established by the Sherbrooke RDC. The tenderers will have the obligation to take a shower at the pigsty and wear the protective clothing provided on-site (overall, socks, cap and boots) during the visit. The persons that have been in contact with hogs or have visited a pigsty in the last 48 hours prior to the site visit won’t be allowed in the pigsty.

    Tender Period Closing Date and Time: Tuesday July 12th, 2016 at 02:00 pm (Eastern Daylight Time).

    AAFC will not necessarily accept the lowest or any tender.

Bidders who contact anyone other than the AAFC Contract Officer to obtain such information during the solicitation period may, for that reason alone, be disqualified.
