    Description of the Requirement:

    The Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, has a requirement for one (1) Senior Financial Specialist for one (1) contract until May 30, 2017, plus one (1) year option.

    The Contractor shall (but not limited to):

    • Identify MAMD financial and non-financial objectives so as to improve its performance, determine whether those objectives are being effectively achieved;
    • Develop and modify business cases and financial plans for the future;
    • Assist in developing costs for specific activities such as: direct project costs, project support overhead, corporate and administrative overhead, operation and maintenance costs and both recurring and non-recurring costs;
    • Analyze budgets and prepare reports on budget commitments, expenditures, revenues and forecasts;
    • Evaluate financial management procedures;
    • Design, develop and implement financial procedures as required;
    • Track documents and maintain filing system;
    • Audit and process timesheets and invoices;
    • Keep financial management system and salary forecast tool up to date;
    • Perform research to correct errors in financial management system;
    • Conduct inquiries or research to resolve financial issues;
    • Perform risk analysis;
    • Provide information and advices to senior management concerning financial and accounting matters;
    • Prepare a variety of financial tables and reports.

    Level of Security Requirement:

    Estimated Level of Effort:

    The estimated level of effort of the contract and Option period will be for:

    One (1) Financial Specialist – Senior: 185 days plus 185 days option.
