    Description

    SCOPE OF WORK

    The work covered by this contract consist of the replacement of the shelter facilities at the telecommunications site in Sacré-Coeur, Quebec. The site is located in the municipality of the Sacré-Coeur near the Saguenay River. The site is accessible by municipal road or the path along l’Anse de roche and St. Joseph. However, St. Joseph is only partially cleared of snow during the winter. The Contractor is responsible for carrying out the transportation of the shelter before the winter. Otherwise, the additional snow removal of the roads if required, will be the responsibility of the Contractor.

    More specifically, the work consists of the following activities:
    Activity 1
    Taking measurements of the shelter provided by the Department to adjust the foundations.

    Activity 2
    Location and excavation of existing underground cables;
    Dismantling of the existing shelter windshield wiper;
    Dismantling of existing fencing around the tower and site (if required);
    Construction of the new foundations;
    Supply and installation of the grounding of the new shelter, fencing, windshield wipers, and the cable path, including the connection to the last existing tower footing;
    Backfill around the new shelter;
    Implementation of the new electric and telephone input.

    Activity 3
    Transportation and installation of the new shelter;
    Installation of stairs and the new shelter windshield wiper;
    Supply and installation of aerial cable path between the new shelter and the pylon;
    Filling the new diesel tank.

    Activity 4
    Dismantling and disposal of the existing shelter and the outer tank, including the grounding;
    Dismantling of the existing electrical input;
    Installation of the fence around the shelter and the pylon (including earthing);
    Site Development (parking lot, gravel roads, etc.);
    Restoring the site condition (fences to replace, grading, removal of existing foundations, cleaning, etc.).
    Activity 5
    Production of plans as built.

    Expected Start and Completion Dates

    The services of the Contractor will be commencing upon award of the contract. The expected completion date of this project is January 27th, 2017.
