Iridium Satellite SERVICE Requirements For Shared Services Canada
Stream 1 - Iridium Narrowband (Voice, Data and Pager), Broadband (Voice and Data) and Push-to-Talk Satellite Services and Terminal Equipment;
Stream 2 - Iridium Airtime and Tracking and Messaging Services; and
Stream 3 - Iridium Short Burst Data Rudics Satellite and Data Management Services
1. Definition of requirement: This bid solicitation is being issued by Shared Services Canada. The resulting contract will be used by SSC to provide shared services to its clients.
The resulting contract is for the supply of Iridium Satellite Services for Shared Services Canada and its Clients. The delivery points will be across Canada. The deliverables include, among others: Iridium parts, cables and connectors, remote access equipment, consumables and tools.
This bid solicitation does not preclude SSC from using any other method of supply available.
The requirements are articulated in the attached Iridium Satellite Service Request for Proposal which includes a Statement of Work for each of Streams 1, Stream 2 and Stream 3.
2. Security requirement: This solicitation contains a requirement for vendor and personnel security screening.
3. Trade Agreements: This requirement is subject to the following agreements:
Canada has invoked the National Security Exception in respect of this requirement and, as a result, none of the trade agreements apply to this requirement.
Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements (CLCAs) do not apply as all the goods and services shall be delivered in regions not covered by Land Claim Agreements.
