Construction of a production well in Penouille

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The Penouille sector of Forillon National Park, has difficulty meeting the demand for drinking water of its seasonal service building. In order to meet the drinking water demand, a new horizontal groundwater-production well (hereinafter abbreviated to the production well) must be installed near these facilities. The well site has been established by an exploratory well conducting in 2014. The site is located within ± 165 meters of the services building. The work primarily involves, but are not limited to, the following elements:

1. Installation of pump, tube, valves, column, pitless adapter, junction box, strainer, sand filter, etc.
2. Installation of a 25 mm diameter HDPE DR-11 water pipe and a power cable for the pump on approximately 170 linear meters between the existing services building and the production well.
3. Water connection (25 mm) to existing services building including the modifications to existing plumbing;
4. Installation of a control unit, hydropneumatic a production well including a pumping chamber and underground gallery including various equipment such as the concrete manhole with lid, well pump reservoir and their accessories in the existing services building’s janitorial room.
5. Electrical work to the existing services building including the connections to the control unit and the existing DP-1 distribution panel.
6. Repair the architectural elements and/or exterior or interior finishes affected by plumbing or electrical work.
7. Final site development.
8. Disinfection, start-up and testing

Contractors must have $5,000,000.00 Liability Insurance Coverage.

A bidders' conference call will be held on Thursday October 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM.

There will be a site visit on Friday October 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work at the latest December 16, 2016, from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer
